Rockstone, whose original name is Reginald Osei, is credited as the pioneer of hip-life or Kasahara music in Ghana. He is popularly known as Reggie Rockstone in the music industry. The hip-life artiste is one of the three judges on Glo X Factor and is fast establishing a reputation as the hard man of the show.
While the other two judges, Onyeka Onwenu and MI, take their time and choose their words while breaking the sad news to unsuccessful contestants, Reggie indeed relishes the role. At the audition stages, whereas the two other judges would say ‘no’ nicely, he would simply say without betraying any emotions, “I did not feel you. Sorry.”
At the Boot Camp where the judges are currently mentoring the contestants and trying to prune down the number for the next stage, Onyeka and MI have tried enough not to make them feel bad. They both talk to them calmly and nicely with a smile on their faces.
But Rockstone introduces himself as the ‘bearer of bad news’ as he announces without sentiment the people whose end has come on the show.
