Simon Cowell sends support to fellow X Factor judge Demi Lovato after loss of her father
Support has flooded in for popstar Demi Lovato after she received the sad news that her father Patrick passed away.
Fellow X Factor USA judge Simon Cowell led the condolences, tweeting, "My thoughts are with you Demi X". The Heart Attack singer missed a photocall with judges Simon, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio after learning the sad news.
The show's host Mario Lopez posted a picture from the shoot on his Twitter page and wrote, "With my @TheXFactorUSA team! Missing @ddlovato today... :("

Demi's sister Dallas tweeted "Rest in peace Daddy, I love you..."
The two sisters were estranged from their father who has been battling cancer, althought the actual cause of death is as yet unknown.
The 20-year-old singer's mum, Dianna De La Garza, tweeted, "Thank you for the outpouring of love and prayers. Y'all are amazing!"
The former Disney star has yet to comment on her father's death. They had a tricky relationship with and he was the subject of her song For the Love of a Daughter from her Unbroken album.
In 2009, the actress spoke to about her father, saying, "The last time I talked to him was two years ago. You try to have faith in somebody, even when you're the last person that believes in him.
"But when somebody lets you down after you've been the only one there for them, and so many times, you don't know what else to do."
